J'ai découvert cette chanson grâce au cours d'Anglais européen du collège où j'enseigne [Voir : http://collegeportaletanglais-europeen.blogspot.com/. Je ne connaissais pas Green Day jusque là. Créé depuis 1989, ce trio originaire de Berkeley en Californie a pourtant vendu 70 millions d'albums dans le monde entier. BONNE ANNEE A TOUS

 Florence Cassez en prison au Mexique

Je souhaite une bonne année à tous mes amis et ma famille mais aussi à ceux qui souffrent, qui se battent pour leur liberté ou un avenir décent. Je pense en particulier aux peuples opprimés de la terre, iraniens, chinois, tibétains, africains qui luttent contre des gouvernements criminels. Je pense aussi à Clotilde Reiss, emprisonnée en Iran, à Aung San Suu Kyi, prisonnière au Myanmar,* à Florence Cassez, prisonnière au Mexique et à tous ceux et toutes celles qui, bien qu'innocents, sont privés de liberté. Je pense aussi aux sans papiers que la police pourchasse, à ceux qui sont sans domicile.
Que 2010 soit leur année et l'année de toutes les libertés.

* Je suis très triste de constater qu'à l'instar d'Ingrid Betancourt en Colombie, pour la libération de laquelle j'avais milité, Aung San Suu Kyi a beaucoup déçu depuis son élection. C'est pourquoi je fais mon mea culpa et que je supprime tous les posts (à part celui-ci) que j'ai publié sur elle.
